Yin yoga is a practice which helps release tension by targeting the connective tissues of the body through lengthening and slowly relaxing the muscles. Most poses are seated, supine, or prone. Yin complements the more dynamic styles of yoga (Yang) and is often welcomed by those who have never tried yoga!
