Some of the best climbing in Tennessee is hidden away in the Obed Wild & Scenic River Gorge, about two and half hours east of Nashville. The Obed, as it is called by climbers, is home to spectacular overhanging sandstone cliffs. Although famous for its massive horizontal roof climbs, which attract climbers from around the world the Obed has plenty to offer intermediate climbers as well—classic 5.10 jughauls and intriguing slabs. Join our guides for a two-day adventure to one of the South’s best-kept secrets—in addition to the abundant and exciting climbing, expect beautiful overlooks, crisp winter air, and stories around the campfire at the Lily Pad campground.
