Just south of Foster Falls, Castle Rock is a smaller crag known for its technical climbing on sheer sandstone cliffs. Living up to its name, it towers high above the town of Jasper, Tennessee on a privately owned patch of forest. Expect intermediate routes on tall walls and lots of opportunities to learn—a challenge well-rewarded by spectacular views. Castle Rock is an excellent location for climbers looking to improve their technique or explorers just looking to see another hidden gem of the South.
