In October we asked our members for their feedback on everything we do here at Climb Nashville. We received some great insight, some great compliments, and some really good questions. Your responses help us plan out our next year, make adjustments, and improve the programs that you love. + I wish it was easier to bring a friend. The free guest pass should include gear...
Every month our members receive a free guest pass they can utilize to bring a friend to the gym for free, and it includes gear! Just let our desk staff know when you come to climb and they'll help you out. We also offer a $10 Intro Package for any first time guest our members bring to Climb Nashville. Intro packages include gear and a belay lesson! Our members receive a bunch of great perks you may not know about, check them out here.
+ There should be some kind of membership discount for families.
Members on our EFT membership (Electronic Funds Transfer - Billed Monthly) can take advantage of our Family Membership pricing. $65 for the first member, $52 for the second member, and $13 for any third or more members. Family members do have to be close relatives living in the same household, and the third member must be a dependent of the primary account holder.
+ Better Student rates, the student membership sales don't seem to line up with semesters.
We try hard to make our memberships affordable for students of all ages! We have two student membership sales every year. One at the beginning of the Fall Semester and another at the begining of the Spring Semester. You can get one of the best membership deals at Climb Nashville during these two sales. The Student Memberships last through the semester, so that you don't have to pay extra when you're out of town during Winter and Summer breaks. We also offer an awesome sale called Mayhem in May if you know you'll be around for the whole year.
+ There should be more competitions!
You can expect to see our Hotter Than Chicken Comp make it's epic return this July. We will also bring two multi-comp bouldering series - hosted at Climb Nashville East - to you this year. More plans for a summer adult league are in place, and other events throughout the year!
+ I would love to see the routes in the gym turned over more often.
No problem! Our routesetters walk the line keeping the routes fresh, and keeping them up long enough for you to project that 5.11- on the slab. We have a sturdy schedule in place and will continue to two tweak the program to better balance the turnover of our routes. + Some of the grades seem off, some routes feel sandbagged and others too difficult.
Let us start by saying that our route setters work hard every day forerunning our routes before assigning any grade. We'd also like to thank all of you out there who have recognized our improvements in the past year. But there is always room for improvement. We now have three full time route setters which will help with our grading accuracy and consistency. We are also trying out new ways of labeling our problems, or rather not labeling them at all (try it out over at East, we bet you'll love it.)
Yoga + Fitness
+ Some of the yoga classes do not match their descriptions or level on the schedule + website.
Our Yoga + Fitness Teachers are incredible, but we recognize that after some time it's important to reasses our classes and make sure they are up to par. Our Yoga and Fitness classes will undergo consistent auditing in the new year to guarantee the quality and accuracy of each class.
+ As a climber, I would like to see more climbing related fitness classes.
We are currently reworking our fitness classes according to your feedback from the Membership survey. This is one of the key factors going into our adjustments. Be on the lookout for updates about the new classes in the next couple of weeks.
+ The workout rooms are often messy when I come in, and I can't find what I need for my workout.
Our gym is a shared space that can fall into dissaray quickly, and our staff does a great job keeping the dust under control. We are implementing new organization and cleaning policies that will help staff stay on top of organization in our fitness and yoga rooms. We will also be posting new rules for equipment use. We ask that all members and guests adhere to the new rules, so that our shared spaces can be utilized by everyone.
+ Is there any climbing team, or program for home schools?
Yes! We have a home school program that works in tandem with our Youth Team. Our home school program meets on Thursday afternoons from 1pm-3pm. Check out more information here.
+ Can you please put in more stalls in the bathrooms at West, or install another restroom?
As much as we all would love an extra stall or two in the bathrooms at West, it just isn't gonna happen. Unfortunatly, we are unable to add more stalls or restrooms to the facility.
+ Bring back morning hours at East please.
You may have already heard, but starting on January 2nd our East location will be open for Members only 6am - 12pm, Monday through Friday!
+ I wish their was a way you could alert us when the gym or walls will be closed.
