The Obed Access

Eric Steltenpohl

As a community of weekend warriors and avid climbers we enjoy easy access to amazing climbing areas like Foster Falls and The Obed whenever we get the chance.  This week one of those access points was placed under contract to sell in the next 60 days to the East Tennessee Climbing Community (ETCC). It's their intention to preserve the parking lot for the North and South Clear access at the Obed, but they need our help to raise funds for the purchase.

This Sunday, February 19th the ETCC will be joining us during Member Night to take up donations to purchase, own, and manage the access lot on behalf of climbers. The ETCC and other climbers in our region have already helped raise half the funds necessary for the purchase. Come out this Sunday and help them secure the rest!

The purchase of the lot is instrumental in securing access to North and South Clear Creek! Help us out this Sunday at the Climb Nashville Member Night!

A Message to Members | Parking

Eric Steltenpohl

We live in a growing city, and it seems like it's getting harder and harder to find a parking spot at Climb Nashville, but trust us we've got em. Check out the map below to get an idea of where you can park at Climb Nashville West.  Also it's legal to park on the streets around the gym, but we ask that you be mindful of our neighbors and their driveways! We also have a few extra spots by the white building down the street from Climb Nashville (see the map).

We know and hope you will use whatever means of transportation you can to get to Climb Nashville, but we strongly encourage 'greener' forms. Every month we have a Green Team drawing for a $50 gift card to Climb Nashville. To enter the Green Team drawing all you have to do is get to Climb Nashville using one of the following forms of transportation:

  • Bicycle
  • Walking
  • Running
  • Skateboard
  • Scooter
  • Carpool
  • Public Transportation

Every time you use one of these forms of transportation to get to the gym, enter your name at the front desk! The more you enter the better your chances, and the more open parking spots we'll have at the gym :).

P.S. Be on the lookout for new signs in our parking lots. They will help organize parking at Climb Nashville!

A Message to Members | Youth Team

Eric Steltenpohl

As the New Year starts, our gym begins to fill with guests, members and the Youth Team. We understand how crowded it can feel inside the gym on a Tuesday night.  Our staff works dillegently to make everything run smoothly, but we need your help. Here's some information to make climbing alongside our Youth Team a great experience for everyone.

-Youth Team participants are members at the gym.

-As long as Youth Team climbers are well behaved we will allow them to use the gym space just like any other member.

-The Youth Team is currently training for top rope or lead climbing competitions. We will be using the West facility more often through the end of May.

-Practice runs from 5pm to 7pm Monday through  Friday.

-We appreciate your encouragement and support for these kids. They are the future of our climbing community!

-Any and all feedback is welcomed. Reach out to our staff with any questions or concerns.

P.S. You’re just mad cause Sam just sent your project.  Ha!  :)
